A Centennial Park Proposal
Some proposal locations are beautiful. Others are meaningful. Nate and Kristen’s proposal at Centennial Park was both!
This park is a place the two of them visit often, so when Nate started planning his proposal, he knew he wanted it to happen somewhere that already felt like them. He spent time scouting Centennial Park and carefully chose the perfect spot along the water, making sure everything felt intentional while still keeping the surprise intact.
I arrived early to get into position and wait, which is always one of my favorite parts of proposal days. There’s something special about watching a familiar place quietly turn into a once-in-a-lifetime moment. When Nate and Kristen walked toward the water, everything fell into place. Nate asked the question, Kristen was completely surprised, and her reaction said it all. A joyful yes in a spot that already held so much meaning for them.
After the proposal, we took advantage of the beautiful setting and spent time walking around the park for a mini engagement session. With the nerves gone and excitement high, the portraits felt relaxed and natural. The water, the greenery, and that just-engaged energy made for a gallery full of moments they’ll be able to share and look back on for years to come.
Nate and Kristen’s proposal was thoughtful, personal, and perfectly planned, and I’m so grateful I got to capture such a meaningful moment in a place that already meant so much to them!
