A Summer Engagement at Charlestown State Park | Charlestown, IN
You know those people you meet and have an instant connection with? The ones you’re able to just skip past the intros and small talk and move right into chatting like you’ve been BFFs forever? That was my first meeting with Kaitlyn and Matt for their engagement session! We all have so much in common and it wasn’t long before we were talking about (as happens at a lot of my sessions 😂) our favorites things!! As we walked down the gigantic hill towards the Rose Island at Charlestown State Park, Matt and I discovered we both lived in Crown Point which was a surprise! We also learned all of us have a marching band background. I swear I can’t get away from band no matter what I do!! 🤣 Matt also works at Purdue, so clearly, the three of us are best friends forever now!
One of the things Kaitlyn and Matt love to do together the most is go hiking. One of the first emails Kaitlyn sent me sharing more about the two of them was a picture of them hiking at Clifty Falls State Park. It was rainy and gloomy, but you wouldn’t even notice because of the huge smiles on their faces! You can tell even from a photo just how much these two love being together. We went to the gorgeous Charlestown State Park for their engagement session, the same spot Matt proposed to Kaitlyn! There is so much neat history there and Matt knows all about it. I got a free guided tour while they got photos, I call that a win-win!
