A Coxhall Gardens Engagement | Carmel, IN

The sun was shining, the trees were in bloom, and the photographers were out in full force. As I arrived at Coxhall Gardens for Brittany and Alex’s engagement session, I knew I wanted to find a spot away from the crowds. It’s already awkward enough being in front of the camera, but it can be even more so when you’re doing it in front of strangers who are waiting to take pictures in the same spot as you.

As I walked, making mental notes of spots to remember, I saw it. A field. Tall grass. Soft light. Tucked away. Not a soul around. I was in HEAVEN! And that became even more amplified when Brittany and Alex arrived with their 4-month old puppy Macy tagging along!! 😍

Once I got my fair share of puppy kisses, Miss Macy headed off for a little walk and I put Brittany and Alex in the field and guys…it was PERFECTION!! They told me they don’t always feel comfortable in front of the camera, but these two were 1000% naturals. Just look at them! I think they’re incapable of taking a bad photo!! 🤣
