THE FUN & EXCITING THINGS THAT FILLED MY WEEK

Happy Friday, friends! What fun plans do you have for the weekend?!

If you’re new to Life With the Carneys, click HERE to read the first one before you get started! If you’ve already been wonderful enough to follow along for the Life with the Carneys series fun, welcome back!

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to the last couple of weeks:

Well, if you’ve followed along on any of my social media this week, you know we finally got started on the fence for the backyard. And that it has not gone well! 😂  The fence company cut the power line for our outdoor lighting as well as hit a gas line in the yard. It apparently was a private line that went in for the pool and the fire pit. Since it’s “private,” no one (and we called EVERYONE) could have come and marked it for us so they wouldn’t have hit it digging for the posts.

They did eventually get the posts. Though they told me it was going to be next week, they ended up showing up today to start building the fence. It’s so cold though that both air compressors they had wouldn’t work. So they got a total of three boards up before calling it a day. Owning a home is completely wild sometimes!

Jackson has been saving his Christmas money and allowance to buy a large pirate ship Lego he’s been wanting. He focused really hard on saving, even though any time he caught even a glimpse of a Lego he really wanted to buy it. (The kid’s obsessed!) He finally had enough at the beginning of this month and was so excited to buy his pirate ship! He had it built in roughly a day and a half. 😂

Jackson got a little alone time with Jon last weekend. They went to Jon’s stylist so Jackson could get a hair cut. I was happy they got time alone together (we really need to do it more often!) and that I don’t have to be the one cutting his hair anymore!! 🤣

We had some time last weekend to work on a house update we’ve been wanting to do for years. When Jon’s mom passed we inherited the handmade hutch Jon’s grandpa made for her. Now that we’re in the new house, we wanted it to fit in with all the other updates we’ve done. So we picked some paint colors (and changed them 30 minutes before Jon started painting it!) and it looks like a brand new piece!

You’ll also find me in a constant state of foolish dancing, as I’ve welcomed FOUR new Courtney Carney couples to the family! I can’t wait to celebrate with each and every one of them!!! 🥳
