THE FUN & EXCITING THINGS THAT FILLED MY WEEK

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to the last couple of weeks:
Jon started back up with marching band, so the kids and I adventured out on our own to the zoo! It was much nicer to be there when it wasn’t crazy busy. The animals were much more active than we’re used to seeing, which was really fun!
Because he’s usually going stir-crazy by that point, Jon decided to start painting our kitchen cabinets his last week before school started. 😂 He’s a glutton for punishment, but I won’t complain! We’re doing two-tone cabinets again with the top being white. The bottoms we’ll get to over fall break! What color do you think we’ll end up going with?!
At the same time Jon was painting cabinets, we decided to have tons of people over! The New Pal band crew and their families came over for a fun cookout one evening and Jon’s side of the family came to see our house for the first time! It was busy but oh so fun!!
We made it through the back-to-school night and flew straight into the first day of school. To say that Harper is excited to be going to school is a serious understatement!! It’s fun to see, as I was sure there’d be some tears once the actual day came. It’s been a great first week for both of them! I took a picture to remember their first day and since her Grammy told her she looked so beautiful in it, Harper says we’re required to do one every day now. Let’s see if I can remember as the school year progresses!!
