You said yes to your favorite person, you’ve picked a wedding date, and you’ve booked your venue. Hooray!!! 🎉 You are absolutely crushing this wedding planning thing already, by the way!!!

Now comes one of the biggest and most important decisions you’ll make for your wedding day. Choosing your wedding photographer!

There are a LOT of options out there, and sorting through them can feel overwhelming. I’m so glad you landed here as you’re looking! If you’re looking for an Indianapolis wedding photographer who feels more like a friend than a vendor, you’re in the right place!! I’m breaking down the entire process of working with me from start to finish. Let’s dive in!

1. The Initial Consultation

One of my absolute favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is the relationships I get to build with my couples. Before we even talk about booking, I want to get to know YOU!

How did you meet? What do you love doing together? What are you dreaming up for your wedding day? This is our chance to connect, make sure we vibe, and chat through all things wedding photography. It’s also the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have and see if I’m the right fit for your day!

2. Booking

You’ve decided we’re a perfect match. WOOHOO!!! 🎉

Once you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send over a simple booking proposal with everything laid out clearly. You’ll be able to review your collection, sign your contract, and submit payment online. Easy peasy and officially official!!

3. Engagement Session Planning

After booking, we jump right into planning your engagement session! I’ll send over a short questionnaire to help us plan the perfect session for you. We’ll talk about timing, locations, and the overall vibe you’re going for.

Once we have all the details nailed down, we’ll get your engagement session officially scheduled and on the calendar!! Then I’ll share tips on what to wear, how to prep, and what to expect so you feel totally confident going into your session. 4. Engagement Photos

You rocked your engagement session, just like I knew you would!!! 😍

You can expect to receive your engagement gallery within two to three weeks of your session date. This gives you plenty of time to use your photos for save the dates, your wedding website, or just because you love them.

You’ll receive an email with a link to your online gallery, where you can download, save, and even order prints directly if you’d like!

5. Wedding Day Planning

Planning doesn’t stop at the engagement session. As your wedding day approaches, we’ll dive into the details together!

You’ll receive a few planning questionnaires from me that walk through key parts of your day. These help me serve you, your families, and your friends in the best way possible. Based on your responses, I’ll create a recommended wedding day timeline so we have a solid plan in place. 6. The Wedding Day

POP THE BUBBLY!!! 🥂 IT’S YOUR WEDDING DAY!!!

All the planning we’ve done leads us here, and now your only job is to enjoy every second. The morning will start with hair and makeup, while the guys figure out pocket squares and boutonnieres. Then we flow into portraits, first looks, wedding party photos, family photos, the ceremony, and straight through to the dance floor.

I’ll be there capturing it all. The big moments, the quiet ones, the laughs, the tears, and all the beautiful in-between memories you’ll want to remember forever!

7. Gallery Delivery

Once the party wraps up, I head straight home and get to work on your photos!!!

You’ll receive a sneak peek within 48 hours of your wedding day because I know waiting is HARD. When your full gallery is ready, you’ll get an email with your access link and PIN. Your wedding images will live in the same gallery as your engagement photos so everything is easy to find and enjoy!

8. Album Design

Once your images are delivered, we get to design your wedding album together!!!

I truly believe albums are such an important part of your photography experience. Your album is a tangible way to relive your wedding day for years to come. Something you can pull off the shelf, flip through, and share with the people you love.
