A Winter Wedding At Coppes Commons | Nappanee, IN

In the week leading up to Kat and Josh’s wedding, I’d secretly been hoping we’d get some snowfall. I mean, if you’re going to have a winter wedding, you want to have snow in them, right?! Luckily my not-so-secret wish can true and Nappanee was covered in a small blanket of good snow I couldn’t wait to take a few portraits with. And if you’ve lived in Indiana for any length of time, you know the difference between good snow and bad snow (get out of here you slushy, gross snow!!).

We spent the day at the gorgeous Coppes Commons Event Center in Nappanee, IN. We knew what we were getting into with a winter wedding and luckily Coppes Commons had plenty of space for us to use inside for portraits! Kat, Josh, and their bridal party braved the cold for a few minutes though so we could capture some snowy portraits in the snow. They’re my favorite portraits of the day! And if you look extra close, you may see their little flower girl sneaking a peek out one of the windows. So cute!!

Kat and Josh had the sweetest ceremony dedicating themselves to each other and their marriage to God. Their fathers shared the joy of officiating the ceremony and challenged them to remember the joy and love they felt in that special moment and to carry it with them as they begin and grow their new life together. I chuckled and thought of Jon when Kat’s dad spoke of some day all those quirks you love now about your spouse will start to drive you crazy! And when they do, to think back on that special moment together. It was such a sweet message that spoke to my heart!!

Kat and Josh, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day! Your family made us feeling so welcome and you two are simply the best!! Enjoy a look at my favorites from the day and I hope you guys enjoyed your honeymoon
