Madison + Matt | Indianapolis, Indiana

Oh my gosh, do I LOVE fall!!! When the cold weather settles in and we batten down the hatches against the cold winter winds, I often wonder why we’ve never packed up all of our junk and moved to where it’s always 75 and sunny. But then falls rolls around and I have an engagement session in downtown Indianapolis with the sweetest couple and LIGHTBULB! Fall is the definitive reason I suffer through the winters each year. And let’s be realistic, sunny and 75 also means we’re in the hurricane danger zone and I am NOT all about that!

The falls colors have outdone themselves this year and were at peak gorgeousness for Madison and Matt’s engagement session!! The most adorable, loving couple + amazing fall colors = Courtney walking around with hearts in her eyes the entire time! I mean, we all know that emoji – that was basically me from start to finish, friends!! Our session began in the heart of the city at Monument Circle, where Madison and Matt shared so much of their story and actually pointed out where on the Circle Matt proposed. You KNOW we had to some memorable photos there!

And can I just throw in that I was so close to having THE BIGGEST fan-girl moment here?! After Madison and Matt’s session, I went home and in hanging out on Instagram (are we friends on there? because if not, we should be!), saw that one of my very favorite photographers who I have followed for YEARS, was at the Circle photographing a wedding right after we were there!! WHAT?!?! My girl (because clearly this close encounter means we’re besties now) Bobbi of Bobbi Photo was one of the first wedding photographers I stumbled on that TRULY inspired me to follow this crazy dream of mine. She made it seem so fun, realistic and attainable, I’ll forever be grateful I found her one day on the good old Google! But any-who…..back to our regular scheduled programming!

Madison and Matt, you guys are the sweetest couple and I had the best time exploring Indianapolis and learning more about the two of you. Thanks for laughing at my shenanigans and trusting me when I threw you out into traffic to grab the “perfect shot!” 🙂 Lots of love to you two and I look forward to working together again in the future!!
