A Franklin Historic District Engagement Session
There’s something so charming about the Franklin Historic District, and Mackenzie and John’s engagement session reminded me why I love it so much. Cobblestone sidewalks, vintage storefronts, and historic architecture made the perfect backdrop for an evening full of laughter, love… and one very cute pup.
We kicked things off with their sweet dog Murphy, who absolutely stole the show. He posed like a pro, soaked up all the attention, and brought such a fun energy to the start of the session. I’m always a fan of including pets in engagement photos—especially when they’re as lovable and well-behaved as Murphy!
Once Murphy headed off with one of his favorite friends, we wandered around downtown, stopping at some of Franklin’s most iconic spots. The courthouse, the Artcraft Theatre, colorful brick alleys, and every little corner we found in between gave us something unique and beautiful. Mackenzie and John were total naturals in front of the camera, full of genuine giggles, sweet glances, and playful energy that made the whole session feel easy and fun!
It’s such a joy to photograph couples who truly enjoy each other’s company. These two couldn’t stop smiling, and I couldn’t stop clicking the shutter. Whether they were slow dancing on the sidewalk or sharing a quiet moment outside the courthouse, they made every frame feel full of love.
I’m already so excited for their wedding day and can’t wait to see what more magic we create together! You just might fall in love with this adorable couple (and their pup!) as quickly as I did!!
