An Elopement At The West Baden Springs Hotel In French Lick

Some wedding days are big parties with hundreds of guests. Others are quiet, intentional, and focused on what matters most: getting married. Sydney and Alex’s elopement at The French Lick Resort was exactly that, and it was absolutely beautiful from start to finish!!

From the moment I arrived, the entire day felt peaceful and relaxed. The French Lick Resort was the perfect backdrop for their celebration, especially with the gorgeous gardens in bloom. Everywhere you looked there was lush greenery, beautiful flowers, and the kind of romantic atmosphere that felt like it was made for a wedding day.

One of my favorite moments was their First Look. There is just something so special about getting to share that excitement together before the ceremony begins. The nerves melted away the second they saw each other, and it gave them a chance to slow down and soak in the moment before the day officially began. It was sweet, emotional, and one of those moments that reminds me why I love First Looks so much!!

Afterward, we spent time wandering through the hotel and the gardens taking portraits together before heading into their ceremony. The garden spaces at The French Lick Resort fit the vision for their day perfectly. Everything felt romantic, timeless, and intimate, creating the most beautiful setting for them to exchange their vows.

One of the things I loved most about Sydney and Alex’s day was how present they were. Without the rush of a larger wedding timeline, they were able to truly enjoy each part of the day together. They took their time, soaked in every moment, and focused on what the day was really about: celebrating the start of their marriage.

And can we talk about these portraits for a second?! Between the gardens, the beautiful architecture throughout the resort, and the soft light, every corner felt like a dream. Sydney and Alex made my job easy because they were so natural together. Their love for each other shines through in every image.
