A Blush Summertime Wedding | Greenwood, IN

He folded his hands. Rocked up onto his toes and back down to his heels. He smiled nervously towards the crowd as the silence lengthened. And lengthened. And lengthened. And then, softly, the bells tolled. Around the bend the horse and carriage come before it glides up the drive. The guests stand as she steps down from the carriage, hiding her from his view. He looks down, closes his eyes, takes a long pause, before looking up as she begins her walk down the aisle. And he beams. It was like a light switching on, the love and joy that beamed from his eyes for his beautiful bride.

This wedding was definitely a special one! You see, I’ve known Caitlyn and Tyler for years. Known them from a distance, as they spent their high school years being tortured by my hubby Jon enjoying every minute in marching band together. Caitlyn was kind enough to baby sit for us (not enough times, if you ask her or her momma 😂). And they always loved so hard on the kiddos when I was actually able to get them to a band competition without losing my sanity. Basically, they’re just the best people to be around!

I worried all week about the weather and how we were going to overcome the 95% chance of rain to get their portraits done outside. But thank the HEAVENS the skies cleared up at the best time and there was a break in the rain so we could quickly knock them out. I shoot quickly, but boy did I pick us the pace even more during their portrait time LOL!! And we chuckled at the time, but now it’s alarming to think back on because when the sky was clear and we were outside doing portraits? The tornado sirens in town went off (which, like I said, we laughed off!) and a tornado touched down about 15 minutes up the road. YIKES!!!! But now I have some of my new favorite portraits, so…anything for the perfect photo, right?! 😂😂😂

Caitlyn and Tyler, thank you for being two of the coolest people I know. You guys had absolute faith in me to capture your day and because of that I know we got pictures you guys will cherish forever. Much love to you both and enjoy your time down in Florida!!!
