Oh the wonderful, mostly forgotten groom details. Everywhere you look for tips on wedding planning there is a list of the important bridal details to have in your getting ready room (here’s the one I put together!). But what about the groom?! His details are just as important for telling a couple’s wedding story!

Now let’s be honest, some guys think this isn’t necessary and I never push that they must be taken. But if you’re a detail-loving person like me, if he has something special, customized, or unique to the couple’s relationship, I feel like it should be captured! I’ve had grooms that wear a pocket watch that was their grandfather’s, cuff links their partner gave them, and who doesn’t love a groom and groomsmen photo with funky socks?! There’s a reason you picked these details to have with and they’re fun and unique to showcase in your wedding photos!

All these are in no way mandatory, here’s a list of items I recommend the groom have gathered for your photographer. And if they’re given to the bride to go with her details, then it’s one less thing he has to think about the day of!
