A Glowy Picnic Engagement Session at Holliday Park
There’s something so timelessly romantic about Holliday Park—tucked away in the heart of Indianapolis, with its wildflower-lined trails, golden-hour light streaming through the trees, and that perfect mix of woodsy charm and elegant ruins. It made the dreamiest backdrop for Erin and Patrick’s engagement session!
From the moment we arrived, I knew this was going to be special! We had that magical, glowy light photographers live for—soft, golden, and absolutely perfect for capturing the sweet connection these two share. Erin and Patrick are so easy together, constantly smiling, laughing, and just genuinely soaking in every moment of the evening. It was one of those sessions that didn’t feel like work at all. Just pure joy!
One of my favorite parts? They brought along a picnic setup to recreate the incredibly thoughtful way Patrick proposed to Erin. He had handmade a book, complete with a key engraved with their initials, where he tied her ring inside with a ribbon before asking her to marry him. 😭 I mean…does it get any more romantic than that?! It was such a personal, meaningful detail, and getting to photograph it during their session added the sweetest storytelling touch!
We wrapped up the evening with more portraits around the park, chasing that perfect sunset glow. Erin and Patrick, you two are such a joy, and I cannot wait for your wedding day in October when we can do this all over again!
