Indiana Wedding Venues I'd Love to Photograph | Courtney Carney Photo

My Bucket List of Indiana Wedding Venues

As a creative with a camera, it doesn’t take much for a location to catch my eye and make me say “I MUST TAKE PHOTOS HERE!” Heck, I’ll be driving down the highway and constantly come upon groves of trees and fields I’d love to stop and put someone in and start snapping photos. 😂  Indiana has such a beautiful landscape and it’s fun we get to experience all four seasons. It gives me good variety to my images and challenges me to think outside the box.

I’ve photographed (and am booked to be at this year!) weddings at some of the best locations Indiana has to offer, I still have a dream list of locations I would love to photograph! So today I’m sharing them with you! And if you’re a couple getting married at any of these locations, I would LOVE to hear from you!! There might even be a little surprise in it for you for reaching out. 😉

1. Laurel Hall

This historic venue is the perfect backdrop for your event!! The character alone will have you walking around with perpetual heart eyes the entire time.😍  From the rich hardwood floors to one-of-a-kind stonework, to the grand staircase, there’s so much beauty packed into this venue! That doesn’t even include their elegant chapel or the outdoor terrace that will absolutely wow your guests. Laurel Hall is situated on six acres of land, so you have an abundance of space for your guests to mingle in and outdoors. Even better? Its large outdoor areas mean it’s an idyllic backdrop for dreamy husband and wife portraits together!

2. The Wilds

Nestled on 125 acres in the heart of Brown County, The Wilds is every photographer’s dream come true! I dare to say this is THE Joanna Gaines of wedding venues, people!! It’s a beautiful, modern, elegant farmhouse-style venue with high ceilings, exposed wood beams, and a black and white color scheme that serves as the perfect blank canvas to style your day unique to you! You’ll find yourself immersed in the beauty of the Yellowwood State Forest, with abundant fields of wildflowers and prairie grass for your first photos as husband and wife.

3. White Willow Farms

More timeless elegance in a country setting coming your way courtesy of the gorgeous White Willow Farms! This venue has all you need for a picturesque day with their beautiful outdoor chapel and spacious barn ready for your guests to dance the night away. Its 14-acre property is picture-perfect with an array of mature trees, green space, and fields of flowers.

4. The Wooded Knot

This premiere venue is a hidden gem, not enough people talk about it! Hidden away in the serene woods of Tippecanoe, Indiana, The Wooden Knot is unique with its soaring ceilings, lovely windows, as well as wood and metal details that pair perfectly with any color palette. They‘ve thought of every detail to make your day spectacular with spacious bridal and groom suites, an outdoor covered pavilion, and a sweeping reception room able to comfortably accommodate 300 guests.

5. Iron & Ember

I have been creeping on Iron & Ember since it opened in 2019 and after attending a styled shoot there last year, it’s safe to say I’m seriously obsessed with photographing a wedding here now! There are beautiful neutrals colors paired with iron beams and a stunning statement fireplace that is the perfect accent for any head table. It’s situated on the newly renovated Brookshire Golf Club, so there is no lack of lush greenery and gorgeous tree lines perfect for photos!

6. Lindley Farmstead At Chatham Hills

Can we just talk about their gorgeous red barn?! It’s crazy that it was originally from the 1830s, but lovingly renovated with all the modern touches you’d expect from a wedding venue in 2021. It’s secluded in the rolling hills of the countryside, with ample spots for outdoor ceremonies and portrait locations.

7. The Bluffs At Connor Prairie

You can find this stunning venue on the bluffs above the White River in Carmel, Indiana. It is surrounded by a beautiful forest and has gorgeous views of the river. Its sweeping array of picturesque windows feels as if you’re bringing the outdoors in for your big day.

8. Bread & Chocolate

I’m sorry, who wouldn’t want to get married at a venue named Bread & Chocolate?! Literally two of my very favorite things to over-indulge in! 😂  This is a beautiful loft-style venue located in Goshen, Indiana. I clearly have a thing for spaces with exposed beams, but what I also love about Bread & Chocolate is the exposed brick and original hardwood floors throughout. Character like that gets my photographer’s heart racing every time!
