“Call me crazy, but I have an idea…”

Now some people might be wary opening an email that starts like this, but I’m not one of them! It’s one of my favorite things about the couples I work with, the creative ideas they share that help me tailor their photos to reflect their unique story. And trust me friends, this email only got better!

You see, way back in July 2010, Rachel said yes to forever with Alex. Plans were made for a big wedding celebration on the 4th of July weekend in 2011. Alex was serving in the Army at the time, which we all know causes even the best laid plans to be thrown out the window. Less than 24 hours after saying yes to forever, Rachel and Alex said “I do” in an intimate courthouse ceremony.

With that quick change of date, Rachel and Alex were left with only two cell phone images to remember their day by and a wedding dress Rachel never wore. So when Rachel ended her email by asking if I would mind her breaking out her dress during their anniversary session and doing the formal bride and groom shots they missed out on, I was jumping for joy! And to be honest, shedding a few tears!!

You see, this is why I do what I do. The chance to capture timeless memories for my couples that they can cherish for years to come. To display in their home and share with their children and grandchildren. To honor their legacy of love. And I know there’s one little girl who is going to love seeing Mommy in her “fairytale princess picture.”

Rachel and Alex, I can’t tell you how much it means to me to be able to capture these special images for you. It was a joy spending the evening with you and I wish you many more years of wedded bliss!!
