Kentucky Wedding Venues I'd Love To Photograph

My Bucket List of Kentucky Wedding Venues

As a creative with a camera, it doesn’t take much for a location to catch my eye and make me say “I MUST TAKE PHOTOS HERE!” Heck, I’ll be driving down the highway and constantly come upon groves of trees and fields I’d love to stop and put someone in and start snapping photos. 😂  Living in the Midwest, I can’t help but love that we get to experience all four seasons because it gives me good variety to my images and challenges me to think outside the box!

I love to travel and have had so much fun photographing weddings throughout the Midwest, but my bucket list of locations I would love to photograph is still pretty long! So today I’m sharing some Kentucky wedding venues I’d love to photograph! And if you’re a couple getting married at any of these locations, I would LOVE to hear from you!! There might even be a little surprise in it for you for reaching out. 😉

1. Warrenwood Manor

What’s not to love about Warrenwood Manor? This 100-acre estate has seen a lot since its foundation in 1856. Now the host of events full of rustic elegance and sprinkled with southern charm, it’s easy to see why they’re one of the top venues in Kentucky!!

2. Richwood on the River

Imagine spending your entire wedding weekend at this beautiful venue along the river!! The circle drive in front of the historic Mansion just calls for photos to be taken there before heading to a spot where the rolling hills of Kentucky serve as a breathtaking backdrop. It’s easy to see why couples instantly fall in love with this venue!!

3. Ashford Acres Inn

Another gorgeous estate to include is Ashford Acres Inn. I’m a sucker for a white mansion with rustic charm and big windows!! With 64 acres of rolling hills, Ashford Acres Inn has several stunning options for your ceremony and dancing the night away at your reception!

4. Yew Dell Botanical Gardens

Oooo I love me a garden for wedding day photos!! Yew Dell Botanical Garden checks all the boxes! Besides its collection of unique gardens, Yew Dell also offers a range of beautiful indoor options to host your wedding.

5. The Apiary

I love how unique The Apiary is!! From the wrought-iron gates to the walking paths, to the lush landscape, you can tell they pay attention to each and every detail. Another detail to love? The 18-foot windows allow beautiful gardens to serve as a backdrop indoors too!

6. The Kentucky Castle

I mean, this one goes without saying, right? IT’S A CASTLE! In the middle of Kentucky!! I’d want a minimum of 3 hours of portrait time with a couple here, it has so many beautiful spots! 😂

7. Spindletop Hall

Who knew Kentucky was basically full of gorgeous estate venues?! This picturesque venue is the perfect backdrop for those couples looking for a classic vibe for their big day. You also get a complimentary membership for a year to their facilities for having your wedding there!

8. Keeneland

Could this list be complete without a venue based around Kentucky horse racing?? Keeneland offers 13 different venues for weddings with all the historic charm and rolling hills you would expect!
