Engagement sessions are so special to me. While I LOVE every moment spent with my couples on their wedding day, the engagement session gives me the chance to get to know them without the immense pressure that comes with a wedding day. We can chat about each other, wander around fun places that often mean something special to the bride and groom, and, most of all, gives them chance to become comfortable in front of my camera and accustomed to my shooting style. Let’s be real, I spend more time with my brides than their future SPOUSE does on their wedding day, we have to be comfortable with each other!! Having this session time together is just one simple way to ensure the wedding day goes smoothly and we have a blast!

I headed over to Columbus to meet Alex and Carl for their engagement session last weekend and boy, they are simply a delight. And can we all agree, one of the most beautiful couples you’ve ever seen?! We started our lovely evening in Schiller Park and the German Village, before heading over to Ohio State’s campus, where they showed me around their favorite places and I soaked up every minute of their warm smiles and joyful hearts. Alex and Carl are two of the sweetest people I’ve met and I am eagerly counting down the days until their September wedding next year!! Enjoy some of my favorites from our time together!
