THE FUN & EXCITING THINGS THAT FILLED MY WEEK

Happy Friday, friends! What fun plans do you have for the weekend?!

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to the last couple of weeks:

For those of you who saw my last post, you’ll know my dad has been suffering from some health issues. We thought it was figured out, but after about a week out of the hospital, he had to be transferred back down to Indy. It was less than fun for him, but after yet more tests they got him on the right track and he was able to be discharged again. And in case anything happened, we had him stay with us for a bit while my mom traveled back and forth to Crown Point so she could go to work. I know he’d rather have headed straight home, but I’m glad he stayed where he could get help quickly (and not run up any more medical bills for ambulance transfers!). He continues to improve, so thank you all for checking in and praying for him. It means so much!!

We finally did something that has been on our to-do list for years. Jon went and bought bikes for the two of us! There was only one minor hiccup (a gas leak happened while Jon was at Walmart getting them!), but he was able to find two we love. We live in such a wonderful neighborhood, so when we’re not spending our time in the pool, we’ll be out and about riding around having a good time.

I have a confession to make…I’ve turned into a crazy plant mom 🤣 My brother-in-law Nathan gave me a small succulent garden at Christmas and I have become obsessed. I even signed up for a subscription box. I’m sure it’s not too long before Jon has me committed!!

Kindergarten screening for Harper – Guess who’s officially ready for kindergarten?! BRB JUST SOBBING OVER IN THE CORNER 😭 It’s hard to believe my baby girl is big enough to be heading to school. The teacher who did her screening said she did amazing! Which is good because Harper mentions at least 18 times a day how she’s ready to go to school. Which I try not to take personally since she spends all day every day with me!
