Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to the last couple of weeks:
The first weekend of August we were able to head up to Crown Point and go to the Lake County Fair with my parents and siblings. I sorely missed getting to go last year, we’ve been making the trip ever since Jackson was born! It was hot but so much fun!!
I had a doubleheader wedding weekend and got to spend it with my bestie Abbie again! Jon took the kids for a fun weekend up at his sister’s house, so Abbie and I could recover from our wedding hangovers in peace. 😂
At the beginning of July, our microwave crapped out on me while I was making lunch for the kids. Ordering appliances right now is less than fun, so we had to wait 4 to 5 weeks before it would come in. Well, it finally arrived and I absolutely love how it looks with our updated cabinets!
The forecast showed rain most of this week but we ended up seeing not very much of it. When we got a short burst yesterday, the kids decided they wanted to dance in it. Now my normal mom brain wants to say “no you’ll get wet” or “get inside and do your homework.” But then I remembered they have their whole life to worry about all that and just took their backpacks and let them run around in the rain.
