Indy Canal Walk Engagement Session | Indianapolis, IN

I love taking photos in downtown Indianapolis. The sites, the colors, how it changes during the seasons. There is so much variety to choose from! Sometimes as a photographer it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with so many options because you just don’t know where to start. I’ve photographed enough couples down there that I take it as a challenge to see how I can change it up! Not just sticking with what I know is comfortable, but pushing myself to find something new. My couples deserve it! And each time I do, I always find a new spot to love!!

The trees along the canal were in full, perfect bloom and it was easy to find a spot to tuck away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown Indianapolis canal for the start of Courtney and Ty’s engagement session. Courtney shared with me that she was a little nervous for photos, which I love!! I think there’s a lot of pressure that you need to be models and perfect in front of the camera, which it’s simply not true! Being nervous is just part of the process and I’m here to help you feel confident in what you’re doing. And once we got going, these two were naturals in front of the camera. I can’t wait to do it again for their November wedding day at Fountain Square Theatre!!
