Here’s to another great week gone by! We spent some great time with friends and a bunch of time outdoors in the gorgeous weather. This Monday Mashup was a fun one to look back on, for sure!
Here’s this week’s learnings/events that transpired over the past week:
Beech Grove hosted their 3rd annual Reverse Raffle on Friday evening. Jon and I left the kiddos with Grammy and headed out for a fun date night to support the band program. They always have a great selection of raffle prize baskets. Jon and I walked away with some prizes I can’t wait to use with the munchkins! Tickets to the Cincinnati Zoo, Kings Island, free golf for Jon…..and one other prize that’s a surprise for later!!
I have the best mom. No matter what I might need, she’ll make every effort to help us however we need it. In adjusting to my new job schedule and the extras that pop up, I was supposed to work Saturday with Jon at ISSMA instrumental contest. My mom rearranged her plans to come spend the weekend with us to watch the kids while we covered our obligations. She’s such a sweetheart with the kids. I became second fiddle to Grammy the moment Jackson and Harper came home and saw her. Although, it’s nice to get a break from being first fiddle, I must say 😉
I was ecstatic to find out this nursery near our home, South Indy Flowers, finally opened its doors on Friday! Mom and I took the kiddos to look and boy was their selection amazing! So many lush, beautiful flowers I had a hard time not going crazy!! Mom even left with some goodies to plant.
- Jackson and Harper had their first dose of helping with landscaping around the house. They were such good helpers! Harper helped for a little bit, then dove right into supervisor mode. Someone had to keep the boys in line! Yelling comments and all! 🙂
