A Monticello Indiana Anniversary Session

Back in May my parents celebrated a huge milestone – their 35th wedding anniversary! One of my favorite childhood memories has always been the party my family had to celebrate my maternal grandparents’ 35th wedding anniversary – it’s part of the reason I wanted to be a photographer! It is hard to believe the years have gone so quickly and we’ve now celebrated Mom and Dad’s.

There is nothing my parents value more than our family. So when talking with Mom about how they wanted to celebrate, she talked exclusively about wanting updated pictures of all our sweet little families. Mom and Dad have never been in front of my camera themselves and I figured it was past time! So after a lot of planning – with 5 young kiddos and one morning sick momma-to-be to keep in mind! – it became a full-fledged early morning, lakeside family session!

I am so in love with these images. Not many couples who have been together for decades do photo sessions together. I believe that it is so important to document your lives together, no matter how long that may be! Or whether it’s a special occasion or just your average Tuesday. Sometimes, those moments become the most precious <3
