They stopped at the arbor. Arm in arm. With big smiles and tear-filled eyes. And then it came -“Who gives this woman to be married to this man?” And with a pat on her hand, and a smile in his eyes, her dad proclaimed that he wasn’t giving her away, only allowing room for someone else to love her just as much as he does. With a final hug and a kiss on the cheek, he handed her off to her grinning groom. Her best friend. The love of her life. The one who it was always meant to be.

From that initial email I received from Jess, I knew I was going to love every second working with her. She reached out after what we’ve officially termed “the best oops ever,” when during planning her original photographer fell through. We’ve bonded over a true love of the little details and endless messages of wedding ideas on Facebook and Pinterest. And that is what I value the most of the time spent with my couples. The trust and relationships that grow as I’m welcomed into planning and celebrating the most important day of their life. And one that can continue to grow long after the day has ended.

Jess and Matt, thank you so much for giving me the privilege of being the one to capture the most important day of your life. The joy, tears, laughter and overflowing of love on your day will be memories that I will cherish forever. I wish you nothing but the absolute best as you start your journey as husband and wife together. And Jess, don’t think the crazy Pinterest pins and Facebook messages will stop any time soon! 😉

Jess took her mom’s wedding dress and incorporated the buttons into her own dress and had this beautiful clutch made as well. Do you see why her and I bonded over details!?! LOVE!

Jess’s bouquet and all of the boutonnieres? They’re made entirely out of WOOD!!
