Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to the last couple of weeks:
In a last-minute change of schedules aligning, we spent the 4th of July with my sister Natalie and her family! They make it every year to see the fireworks downtown, so they had the lowdown on where we needed to be. So after we spent some time splashing around in the pool, we went to the zoo while we waited for it to get dark. Then we hung out downtown and had a fun spot to relax and watch the show. Jackson and Harper got to try out their first set of sparklers on their own! This mama was grateful no one was caught on fire 😂
Jason‘s getting old and it’s led to some of his teeth being less than healthy. He went for his annual check-up and had two teeth that the vet felt it was best to remove. We got him scheduled for an early morning procedure and he was none the wiser when he headed back into the vet. We got quite the surprise though when Jon picked him up! We started to get a little worried when it took much longer than they told us it would. Well, it took so much longer because instead of the two teeth they went in to remove he ended up getting nine teeth removed. We both definitely asked the question of does he even has teeth left in his head. 🤣 my brain instantly went to doggy dentures!! No worries though, he still has over 30 teeth in his mouth that he can eat with LOL!
We’ve been excited for months and it’s finally here! Jon’s sister Skye and her family officially moved to the Indy area! They found a gorgeous house they love in Pendleton, Indiana, and just a couple of days ago officially closed and moved into the house. We’re so excited for the chance to live so much closer to them, the kids are already dreaming up tons of plans that we can all do together!
I got a little break from 24/7 Mommy duty before Jon’s band camp this week and had brunch with my friends Abbie and Kaitlin. I love any time I get to hang out with fellow creatives and talk shop!
In another instance of teeth within the Carney household, Harper lost her first two teeth! She looks absolutely adorable with the little gap where her bottom two teeth are missing. She will tell anybody who listens that the tooth fairy came and gave her money for her teeth 😂😂😂
