Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to the last few weeks:

Both kids officially ride without their training wheels!! Their legs are so long though that they both need a new bike for next spring! 😂

We haven’t been for a checkup with the eye doctor since 2020 (whoops!), so over fall break everyone got checked out. The kids both ended up getting glasses!

My current hobby of planting collecting is so much fun! (Would Jon agree? 😂) He must be okay with my obsession because he put together a new IKEA cabinet for them and revamped one of our older pieces of furniture for them! That way they’re protected from kid hands and dog teeth!

The kids were so shocked that it snowed on Halloween! We still went around trick-or-treating for a bit but it was too cold to sit outside and pass out candy when we finished like they wanted to. So it was hot chocolate and a Halloween movie for them!

Speaking of dog teeth, we’ve been keeping a HUGE secret from the kids since early September. My friend Maria rescued a husky from a bad situation. Well, not long after she joined their family they got a huge shock and found out she was pregnant with six puppies! We thought mom Onyx would have them closer to Christmas, so it felt like we were destined to get one and surprise the kids on Christmas morning. The true surprise ended up being four days after her X-ray at the vet, she delivered six healthy puppies! I knew pretty quickly which pup I wanted to bring home!

It was so hard keeping the secret from the kids (I’ve been trolling them reeeeeally hard about all things puppy 🤣) and they were SO surprised when they met him. Apollo is everyone’s new best friend! Except maybe Jason, he’s old and not used to another dog with this much energy!
