Yet another busy week has flown by!! Work has really started to pick up as I head into my first fall Rush with Franklin College, I’m excited for students to head back to campus! An empty campus is just no fun!!

Here’s a look at what we were up to this past week: 

• Growing up, my parents always treated us to at least one visit to the Lake County Fair while it was in town. I grew up about a 10 minute drive from the fairgrounds, so it wasn’t too far out of our way to visit. I fully believe that’s why I’ve yet to pack up the kids and head to the Indiana State Fair here in Indy, as it’s a good trek from our house. And I’m lazy…..ha! Back when Jackson was born, I thought it would be a fun adventure to take him to the fair and wander around. I loved it when I was a kid! All the animals, pictures with farm equipment, riding the miniature train and all the yummy fair food. Elephant ears for LIFE friends! My Grandma Carol also made sure to spend a day with us there as well, it was a special time I loved sharing with her. I know our kiddos get the same joy going with their Grammy and Grandpa!
• It was gender reveal weekend for Shelly and Nick!! They had a wonderful party with their closest family and friends choosing sides over what Baby J was going to be. I have no idea how Shelly did it, but she wanted to be surprised and find out with the rest of us. I could not have done it!! I would have driven both Jon and myself crazy! Pictures of their big surprise will be up tomorrow!
• Harper now says “I love you.” She is becoming such a big girl, I both love and hate it at the same time!
