My reading list for May 2020

The Current Titles On My Reading List

If you’ve spent any time perusing my website or scrolling through my social media, you know that I am an avid bookworm. I am a big fan of the romance and thriller genres, but having a thriving business means there are a lot of amazing business titles mixed in there as well! There’s nothing more peaceful to me than curling up on the couch under a blanket, cup of coffee at my elbow, and good book in my hands. OR taking that good book outside to lounge in the sun with a frozen margarita. Heck, there’s not a place I can thing of I haven’t brought a book just in case I had the downtime to crack it open!!

So you’re reading this and saying “Ok Courtney, we get it, you like to read…but why are you telling us this?!” I’m glad you asked, friend! This is me restarting my blog series called On My Nightstand, where I’ll be sharing the titles I’m currently enjoying! And I’m always looking for new titles to cuddle up and read, so I’d love to know down in the comments what you’re enjoying right now too!!

With the quarantine in place against coronavirus, I have found myself with quite a bit more time to fill with doing my favorite hobby. I admitted on this Instagram post that I am an anxious person, so escaping into a book is the perfect way for me to shut down my over-worried brain and relax. So let’s dive right into May’s list!!

Nora Roberts “Shelter in Place”

Somehow this one has spent FAR too long not fully read on my bookcase. Usually, I read through a Nora Roberts book within hours of getting it, but with this one’s plot of a mass shooting in a shopping mall felt a little too close and uncomfortable about what was going on in the world at the time. I got about halfway through and then fall busy season hit. Having nothing but time now, I enjoyed starting it over, and just like every other title of Nora’s, it was amazing!

Karen Kilgariff + Georgia Hardstark “Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered”

If you enjoy true crime and are not listening to My Favorite Murder…well I just don’t know what you’re doing with your life. Karen and Georgia are so enjoyable to listen to on the podcast and this dual memoir was fun getting even more of the backstory to the hilarious stories they often share!

Nora Roberts “Sanctuary”

Sometimes when I’m watching or listening to something it reminds me of a scene I read in a book. Which can then lead to some solid searching of my memory bank for the title so I can reread it. While I don’t remember what exactly prompted me to pick up this title, I’m sure it ties to something true crime I was listening to since it’s a suspense/thriller. This mystery of a woman’s long missing mother is one I love to reread over and over again!

So there’s a look at what is currently on my nightstand!! Tell me, friend, what titles are YOU loving right now??

Much love friends,
