Zayden | Evansville, IN

The weather forecast seemed to be stacking the deck against us. It was rainy. It was cold. The wind was brutal. Indianapolis was calling for almost a foot of snow. Every instance of bad that could happen in the days leading up to a photo session was occurring for Zayden’s six month session. I watched the weather forecast for days, afraid I was going to have to make the dread, last-minute “we need to reschedule” call. I want my clients to have the most joyful experience possible and needing to reschedule can be such a let down when you’ve been looking forward to a session. And after all, it was the weather in MY town that would have forced the need to reschedule, not where I was actually going to!

After a little bit of schedule finagling on Jon’s part, we were able to leave a day early and miss the storm on our way out of town. Zayden’s six month session was nestled right into our weekend visiting Jon’s family down in Evanston, so moving our travel time up a day meant a flurry of last-minute packing and rushing out the door! But every second of worrying over the weather radar, every hair brush left behind, and every hour of late night driving was worth getting to see this sweet family again! Walking in the door for our session and being instantly greeted with Zayden’s gummy smile made my heart incredibly full! This kid has dimples. For. Days. They just draw me in and I just want to kiss all over him!
