THE FUN & EXCITING THINGS THAT FILLED MY WEEK

Happy Monday, friends!

If you’re new to Monday Mashup, click HERE to read the first one before you get started! If you’ve already been wonderful enough to follow along for the Monday Mashup fun, welcome back!

I’ve been on vacation for the last ten days, soaking up so much family time! Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to the past few weeks:

-The first day of spring finally rolled around!!….with 4 inches of snow joining it. What the heck Indiana?

-And the forecast called for 8-12 more inches on Saturday. So there was really nothing else to do but stay in my pjs and watch Disney movies, ya know?

-Snow is not allowed in April, okay weather?

-Update: It snowed. On April first. Mother Nature has one sick sense of humor.

-Jon has been having trouble with his knee lately. Trouble as in swollen, painful and annoying enough that he can’t sleep. After several doctor visits and an MRI, he’s got a small tear in his meniscus and some fluid behind his knee that physical therapy should hopefully clear up.

-You can find me dancing over in the corner knowing he doesn’t have to go through the worst-case option of surgery! Until I remember how much that stinking MRI cost.

-This off season has given me the chance to tweak and adjust several of my workflows before my wedding season starts. At the end of the day I am a pen and paper, list-making girl, so when I found the Haus of Layne blog planner, I was in heaven.

-One of my goals for this year of business was to find my tribe. I’ve had a blast meeting with some AMAZING local vendors here in town. I can’t wait to share more about all these lovely ladies!

-We spent the first weekend of spring break down in Evanston visiting my sister-in-law and her family. They’ve spent the last two years building their house and are so close to having it finished!

-My sister-in-law has shared a bathroom with her three children for over two years. She deserves an award.

-We ended up taking the kids to the Children’s Museum of Evansville. The kids had a blast running around exploring, with the Quack Factory water room being their favorite!

-Jon and I spent this week prepping to start Whole 30. Our fridge and pantry haven’t been this empty since we moved in! I think I will miss my best friend, cheese, the most.

-Easter weekend was spent in Crown Point with my family. Saturday was spent celebrating my nephew Sawyer’s third birthday. He is a rascally devil full of energy that I was able to coax into sneaking me a few sweet kisses. It still blows my mind that we all have children that are this old!

-The end of vacation ended with Easter Mass at my grandparents church, sweet snuggles with my baby nephew Gauge, and side-splitting laughter watching the new Jumanji movie. The original is one of my favorite movies! I really loved this updated take on it!
