THE FUN & EXCITING THINGS THAT FILLED MY WEEK

Happy Monday, friends!

If you’re new to Monday Mashup, click HERE to read the first one before you get started! If you’ve already been wonderful enough to follow along for the Monday Mashup fun, welcome back!

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to this past week:

-Jon and I began Whole 30 on Tuesday…..two days after bringing home several grocery bags full of candy from Easter. Let’s hope I have the strength to resist. And that Jon found a REALLY good hiding spot for them.

-I’m happy to say that I have not had any of the major sugar withdrawals that can happen when doing Whole 30. I made it all the way until Day 4 before I had my first intense, I-will-beat-someone-up-if-I-don’t-get-some-chocolate craving. Huzzah!

-Jon seems to be having more intense cravings for sweets than I am, which is surprising. He also knows where the chocolate is. I applaud him on his self-control!

-To help combat Harper’s separation anxiety at bedtime, I’ve been rocking her to sleep again. It’s safe to say that both of us do NOT fit comfortably in her rocking chair while she’s trying to stretch out and get comfy to go to sleep. It’s an endless tumble of knees and elbows all over the place!

-To combat any more knees to my chin, we converted her bed to a toddler on Friday. Now she can stretch out in her bed with me and we can both be comfortable. Because yes, I can fit just fine in her toddler bed!

-To celebrate her new big girl bed, we headed to Target and she picked out a plush Trolls blanket she really loved. We didn’t pay enough attention though and ended up buying a twin size one, which is ginormous!

-The first night she laid down in her new bed, all tucked up under her new blanket, I wanted to simply sob like a baby. Our baby girl is growing up fast!

-I’ve been eyeing a set of Amonie ring boxes for months now and was finally able to snap some up at their sample sale! Opening them was as much fun as I’m anticipating shooting with them will be! #photographerchristmas

-I mean….I can’t even with Indiana’s weather right now. We woke up to snow again on the ground this morning. It’s just sad at this point, I am sorely missing all the beautiful spring blooms!

-Last week was no better, with a monsoon of rain for the Indianapolis area. The bookstore actually flooded when both the sump pump and the backup failed. I’m VERY glad I wore my boots that day….

-Even with all the dreary weather, it was a blast to make it out to Holcomb Gardens for Emily and Dustin’s engagement session on Sunday. I can’t wait to share more with you all!
